Is it compulsory to be thick to be a Sky installer?
I have just upgraded my installation from Sky to Sky HD (on the third attempt; once cancelled due to the weather, once coz the guy said he wasn't qualified to do it how I wanted). Basically I wanted the cable to run from the dish through the loft and down the cavity to the tv, EXACTLY the same way the current cable went. Anyway the guy came today, really nice and said no problem so long as I didn't mind helping him pulling cables through. Job was eventually done but when I went up into the loft after he left the cable was lying on top of everything from one end to the other with no slack at all. There was no way to attach it to the joists except by disconnecting it from the dish, moving everything to the opposite side of the loft and running the cable along the eaves. Taken me six hours. When we had it installed originally they wouldnt run the cable through the loft as I wanted but put the dish on a 15 foot pole then had to move it 3 times coz it lost the signal every time the wind blew and they eventually put it where I suggested originally and ran the cable where I wanted. They have no common sense.
