is it worth buying Disney Infinity 2.0 collectors Edition on ps4?

I have read somewhere that Disney will shut their servers down and you can not play online. That has just confused me. Does anyone know any information on what is going on with this game and is it worth buying it? i am just worried about what might not work.

And in the future if i buy Disney infinity 3.0 than does all the characters from 1.0 and 2.0 work on ps4?

If the servers are shutting down than can you not play the story mode? (If there is any)

I think you can't download community made maps and objects but you can play offline

the servers were shut down on the 3rd which basically means you can't download community toyboxes or play online but there's a lot of game (if you buy the other playsets & versions) to be had plus the figures look great. Becareful though as it's addictive...i started before Christmas and have accrued 92 figures and all playsets etc (probably spent over £300).

I was thinking about the cost but i do want them all lol currently i have the Disney infinity 2.0 Collectors edition. If i start buying other characters than i need Disney infinity game 3.0 to play the 3.0 characters. I don't understand if i need the 'dics'. Is it worth it for collection? And can i buy the figures separately or playset pack? And lastly how many bases are there?
    Is that everything for it?

    Thanks for you reply earlier
