Is it worth it... Laptop trade in deal?!

Curry's are currently offering £100 to trade in a laptop to purchase a new one.

I have the Toshiba Equium A200, that I bought about 3years ago. Has Windows Vista, reasonable spec (dual core pentium, 250 harddrive, 3gb ram) - but I'm wondering if I should trade it in and get a new one or sell it privately... Only thing I'm wondering is if I'd get more than £100 or if I should just save myself the hassle and trade it in?

Its in perfect working condition, only thing wrong is the charger is bent as I dropped it - but charges fine, and the top has a sticky residue on it (from where I had a laptop sticker, and decided to remove).

Advice needed asap...?

youll get more, sell it yourself otherwise they will sell it and profit on ur behalf

try using some tape first on the sticky residue, usually works before using products

i'd happily give you 100 quid for it, so.... make your own mind up ;-)

Try some furniture polish (the spray type) on the sticky patch. Works wonders at removing the terrible mess left by nuisance stickers.

have you got a link to the terms and conditions of that trade in offer per chance?
Never mind, found it and its up to £100

Thanks a bunch! Will certainly try that... Its a nightmare with the stickiness on the lid - not to mention it looks atrocious .

best thing to get rid of sticker residue is WD40, dont spray the laptop or anything daft like that all you need to do is put a little wd40 on some cotton wool then wipe slowly over the sticky bit leave for abt 30 seconds or so then wipe over it againthen clean it off with baby bum wipes if you have any if not tissue should work..

UP TO £100. Pretty much nothing gets that, ever.

Take it along (to any PC World / Currys) and you can get them to do the valuation without any obligation to continue - however my geuss is in the £60-£70 range which is more towards private sale tbh.

isopropyl alcohol it what you want of you gonna start using products

Which model of Pentium Dual-Core? Intel has been using the Pentium Dual-Core branding for a while now for different chips (like Celeron) so which Pentium Dual-Core is likely to affect the value quite a lot.

Hi I have 2 laptops 1 is a Hp and has a loose connection and the other is an acer both are very slow do currys take these as rhey are or do they need all connections etc
