Is it worth using a M.2 PCIe card on an xbox one?

I currently have a Samsung ssd 840 plugged into my xbox one. Question is is it worth buying a m.2 to usb 3.0 adapter and using a m.2 ssd on my xbox one? Or is USB 3.0 on the xbox one pretty much maxed out with the ssd?

    Thanks

Unless the M.2 SSD is an NVMe one then you'd get similar performance.

NVMe will not work with M.2 to USB 3.0 adapter, only SATA works so be careful.

    Can you elaborate on this?

Also I found a WD .2 ssd with the following specs:

    SATA 6Gb/s
    Read 2050MB/s
    Write 700MB/s
    130k/170k IOPS

What is the maximum speeds for the above specifications with the xbox one do you know?

    Thanks

Your already getting maximum performance tbh. The read speed is plenty and the write speed is limited by broadband speeds which never go above 150mbps on Xbox. I see no reason to change

There's no NVMe to USB 3.0 adapter yet. They all work with SATA only so far and I've been looking for one with NVMe but haven't found it yet. If you know about one please let me know.

Why would you want to even use a m2, you wont see any speed difference, as USB3 is only like 640MBps, and m2 like 1,500 write and 1,900 read, so your be throttling the m2, even a ssd is nearly getting throttled by the USB3 on xbox.
