    Is it worth Valeting?

My Daughter has just thrown up all over her car seat and the actual car seat, She is 4 so wasnt just a little bit either.
Is there anything i could use to shift the smell or would you just pay to get it valeted please?
1st time i have dealt with sick in the car!

Valeting, or you just push it further into the material

As punishment, hide the vodka from her

all the shampoos just make the surface clean at the expense of wetting it and pushing it down

a valeting machine while it sprays hot cleaner, vacuums it off at the same time, so pulls it out

unless you have a vax machine of your own or something, all you will do is make a wet yucky spot
I would put a nice towel under the car seat in future, littleones make the most surprising messes

You could also rent one of those machines that do this from homebase for about £20 for the day so might be worth it if you need to clean other stuff too.

yep, wipe with lots of damp cloths, just dont make it wetter

a rug doctor as mentioned above, if they also rent the hand wand to go with it, would be cheaper than paying a valet to do the same thing
you need the hand want to get onto a car seat, a good time to give all the seats and carpets a go, and leave overnight to dry out

Thanks for that! I will have a look see what price they rent at.

My 4 year old daughters also had a throwing up weekend. She was sat on our bed saying she didn't feel to good, then 'Ugh!!!' all over the duvet.
After a few hours when she'd settled down and fallen asleep, we put her in her own bed. Only for her to wake up and throw all over her own duvet.
Guess who was out buying new duvets and pillows at 7:30pm Friday evening. Saturday morning was a trip to the tip with the old ones.
I feel for you with the car through. I remember as a kid I chucked in the back of my dads car. Had to sit in it for 30mins till we got home. Just remember the smell wafting round the car and setting me off again. lol

Seriously though, bicarb is brilliant for the smell, I'd sprinkle a load on it before you clean it even.

i would recommend washing soda ! my children used to be sick regular without warning so i asked a local Taxi driver friend of mine and he said a strong solution of washing soda neutralizes the smell .hope it helps

not sure, after each time she perks back up and is still wanting to eat and drink normal, hopefully 24 hour bug. Hubby has just cleaned it up with bicarb for now so will see what its like tomorrow. x

Maybe it would be best not to give her too much food until she is better x x

Years ago a friend of mine was sick in the car and we took a flask of hot water and some cleaning products to the BP petrol station , cleaned it at the petrol station, soaking the seat liberally, and then used the BP hoover as they have a water catch tank built into their hoovers, in fact most petrol stations have hoovers like this next to their jetwash facilities. Cleaned it up perfect for the price of a hoover token.
