    is my harddrive fried?

Stupid maleware popped up on my comp earlier so I ran malewarebytes and AVG was trying to remove it also and it said it had done but it needed to restart...so I let it and now my comp starts up gets to win xp screen and then reboots

have tried to run safe mode, disable restart on system failure, last configuration and also my recovery XP disk but it just reboots.

Is there any more avenues for me to persue? or do I need a new HDD and a fresh install of XP?

how can I reinstall XP, when I try my recovery disk it just reboots

Can you get in to BIOS & if Yes then change Boot Sequence to Boot from CD/DVD Drive & then save.

Software problem. Doesnt really affect hardware. Just try usig google, thousands of people have had this Problem before n thousands of posts will have your Answer. If u do manage to get into windows I'd recommend using something like ad-aware but this sounds more like a Trojan/virus so panda scan is good too

Ive already tried google it was saying reinstall but when I try that normally the disk sounds like its loading then it just reboots. Currently just trying the bios suggestion above by making CD drive primary boot option, seems to be doing something...hopefully a good sign.
