Is the Celeron E3400 2.6GHz worth £7+ more than the Celeron E3300 2.5GHz?

They are probably both exactly the same CPU, just one with a 3300 badge on it, the other with a 3400 badge on it.

When Intel make a CPU they test it to see what speed they can run it at, if it runs at one speed they put that badge on it, if it runs at a faster speed they put a different badge on it.

A small overclock should allow the 3300 to run at the same speed as the 3400.

But even if you dont you will probably hardly notice the difference.

A PC performance is much more than just pure CPU speed.

why a celeron, why not a core2duo

depends how much u value £7, either chip wont make a difference in speed but if u like higher numbers lol then go for the top one

How much is it? Get a Pentium Dual Core from ebuyer for about £50 - 60 … How much is it? Get a Pentium Dual Core from ebuyer for about £50 - 60 (2.9ghz) depending on the speed. It's a core 2 duo, just with less cache, much better buy.
