I can tell you one that isnt, the Griffin iTrip. Very distorted.

iTrips are very low powered so the reception is not great I used a roadTrip for a while which was slightly better.

What kind of head unit is it?

I have a Harmann Kardon Drive + Play somewhere BNIB if you can be bothered wiring it in.

Does that replace the current unit or no?

    No its an add-on

    ]here

Can either be wired to the head units aux input or hard wired to the FM input

EDIT: may not be compatible with the touch now I think about it

I have a Belkin one... Unlike the iTrip it doesn't use the battery from your iPod, it runs off the cig lighter. It's perfectly clear and always has signal.

i have a belkin one also...and judging by reviews and my experience... id stay well away from the FM transmitters if possible, quality is poor
