Is there much differnece in PS3 consoles ?

    Hi
I have been looking at the PS3 consoles & wondered if there is any major difference in them other than the size of the Hard drives (& the 40Gb & 80gb not being backward compatable) & the amount of ports?

I guess I am asking is the 60Gb the better model for the cash ?
    Thanks for any help.

No other differences than those you have stated (backward compatible, hard drive size, usb ports, sd card slot), except price! And that the 6ogb version is no-longer made so onlu available second hand

I'm pretty sure you can download PSN games with the other versions.

Yes, you can download games from the PSN with all versions

Don't forget that SACD playback is only possible on the 60GB version I believe.
