If I can get this for £400 brand new, is this considered a good deal for the spec?

I don’t think so the graphics are rubbish, for an extra £50-100 you can get dedicated gpu it a laptop...
I wouldn't pay tuppence for it!
And you know why?
Cos it doesn't match my requirements.
A good deal is only a good deal if it meets your requirements.
You buy a computer to satisfy your needs. You do not buy a computer that is a good deal and hope for the best and when you get it home find out quite quickly it does not do what you want it o do.
For £400 I would say quite reasonable for general usage - it's got a 15.6" touchscreen IPS screen, 8Gb RAM and NVMe drive. It's not going to play intensive games but if you are satisfied with that, go for it.
Is this a shareable deal? Argos are selling it for £599.

Which dedicated graphics laptop can you get for £450 with 3500U, SSD hd and IPS screen at 15.6" ?
Whilst it seems reasonable value for money, I'd still rather have this:

I acknowledge the fact it doesn't have an IPS screen (that wouldn't bother me) but it does offer extra functionality, having an optical media drive and an HDMI port. 3 year warranty too which is nice - all for £50 less than the HP.

Older cpu 2500U

The Currys Acer is similar, but that's an Acer with basic speakers, i'd take HP Pavillion with Bang and Olly speakers over Acer any day of the week.

Anyone else convince me for another make/model with same spec cheaper than £400 all in?
If not, it will have to be the HP Pav.

Come on peeps, it's a challenge to see if anyone can find a better deal brand new than me for the exact spec...
