Is this a good price for the TV

I'm thinking of buying Sony KD65XE9005 - it is a 2017 model soon to be replaced by XF model. Hence it is currently available at a discounted price of around £1529 at most place (last year it was around £2300)

Powerdirect is offering it for £1399 - does this look like a good price or are prices likely to decrease materially further?

I know powerdirect are notorious for slow delivery - but I'm not in hurry so relaxed about delivery time.

It has been hovering around £1500 for quite a few months, October 30th it dropped to £1599 going by pricespy. It's a great tv. I'm holding out for a drop on something which can do higher nits brightness like a Q7/8/9 or the XE93/94.

I think the XE90 will drop further.

The Q7/Q8 are dimmer in a lot of real content scenes because of the coarser local dimming system.
