is this Cooler master tx3 evo placement good or bad or ok ? with asus m5a97 r2.0 and fx6300

Ive recently bought a tx3 evo ( i nearly got the 212 evo but decided it could be a hassle to fit) anyhow i nearly killed my cpu when i ripped it from the board due to it being welded to the stock cooler heat sink. Having spent a while straightening the many bent pins and eventually refitting it
I installed the tx3 evo the only way i saw how . which was pointing up i.e sucking air from above my gpu and blowing it through the cooling tower and being sucked out the top of the case by a top case fan.
Having looked a little harder i now think that i could have mounted it so that it faced toward the back of the case. Although the motherboard mounts that the heat sink clips onto look about the same distance apart as the cooling fans are wide...which might be difficult.
I also used the stock thermal paste as i found out that the tube of artic silver (i think ) was empty.
Seems ok going by this tomshardware.co.uk/the…tml

So the question is shall i leave it how it is or try to change it ?
and if i change it is it really worth buying some different thermal paste ( although i was trying to do this cheap)

    Thanks

Monitoring your temps would be a good start . if it's working well leave it .

Ah...well i didnt take a reading before i changed it but i understand it will require many cpu cooling cycles before it its settled in, used more like a small pea size of thermal paste this time than my usual grain of rice size.

if it mx4 paste no need to wait as it synthetic , no metal ect inside.

I have a 6300 black and it games at 52- 59ç max in a z11 case with freezer pro 7 cooler its a hot chip but abything under 62c is ok .

Try HWmonitor its free to keep track of temps .

also my cooler just sucks the heat from cpu and vents sideways not up like what you would expect. seems dumb I know . you will see a improvement even if its just quieter

freezer pro 7 vents upwards sorry . was thinking of my old cooler but it doest make a difference if you got a good case

The case is a budget xigmatek Asgard Pro. Its a bit flimsy but its got room for 7 case fans (just have 3) the new tx3 evo is actually as noisy or more than the stock cooler...like a whining warble from the fan even at 1000 rpm. Im gonna ask them to change the fan i think.
Using ai suite to control fans and measure temp etc. I was just expecting something more noticeable in the cooling and noise area.
Like you said if it stays below 62c ill try not to mess with it. Thanks
