Is this the best laptop I can get for £600?

dixons.co.uk/gbu…-78

I need a laptop that has long battery life and is fairly thin. For word processing, watching films, music and possibly some light gaming.

Also Ive need been around the pc scene for a couple of years now, so is this processor any good. Even better can this laptop be had for even less, or can you recommend an alternative?

Thanks

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/186604similar spec? Alot cheaper

Processor isn't great, It benchmarks less than the T2300 in the laptop I bought over 3.5 years ago (£599).

I suppose it is intended for low power consumption though (10w)

Gaming is going to be a nono on this one by the way.

I would go for something a little better, I am sure you can get a decent laptop for £600

Ok, maybe scrap the gaming and replace with watching HD films.
