Item never arrived , how do i go about initiating a chargeback ?

right then.. i ordered something from a site which i thought was legit... havent recieved my item and its been a month, no replies whatsoever from them so the only alternative is for me to initiate a chargeback but ive never doen this and how do i go about it and does Lloyds TSB even do them?

what site? and what was the product?

If you bought by credit card then you can do a chargeback, if debit, then you will have to check with your bank.

Check the individual terms of your card by law under s.75 of the consumer act you have a like claim against your card provider. In other words because the seller has breached the contract, you can claim against the card issuer for the breach. under law there is a min amount of 100 although your card provider may accept smaller claims

Visa chargeback via the bank on a debit card should be easy enough.

Just phone the bank up and they will try to recover the money back to you but it can be a very lengthy process

contact your card providor would be the first point of call, after you have exhausted all appropriate avenues in attempting to rectify the situation.....keep copies of all correspondence
