he's never had the chance to be Given. I hope not.

The man is a ******. I wish Roy Keane was still playing, he would sort him out.

the boy is a **** he has had more than many people and he acts like that he should be banned from the sport for being a grade a ******

But being in prison, he'll have to face the net, now he's used to balls coming from behind

he should be allowed to play, hes done his time.

Because Keane was a cuddly little bunny and not in anyway a complete ****?

Whatever happened to people paying their debt to society and moving on with their life. Because he has been in prison should he not be allowed to work again?

All the reports in the press about how he has walked straight back into his job - NEWFLASH - thats his chosen career. If he was a plumber and walked straight back into a plumbing job no one would bat an eyelid, so why should it be different because he is a footballer?

Saying that, he is an ar5e though, but thats beside the point :-D

If you call serving 74 days of a 6 month sentence "done his time", then you're a more understanding man than me!

I thought the bare minimum was 50% of sentence. The assault was absolutely horrific.

Doesn't he have another court case pending?

Blimey charlie, I agree with you for the 1st time ever

The bloke is a t***er but he's served his sentence and maybe just maybe, it'll give him a better ot look on life. Hopefully he'll hvae a blinding season and repay the faith that Newcastle Utd have shown towards him.

I don't know many places that would say "hey you are going to jail but you know what we will keep your job open for you"

I think he should have lost his job and have to actually work for a living now.

That'll be different nike taking the moral high ground overthis, than the Nike that uses sweat shops in pakistan then

Keane didn't go around with his mates attacking people on the street for no reason. He also did not attack his team mates. Keane also didn't poke a cigar in an academys players eye.

Your right, Roy Keane was not cuddly bunny but compared to Joey Barton he was a saint.

Sloth/Mod

History has shown he'll cock up again..........did it several times at City. Wouldn't bet against him messing up again.

Which is about normal for such a sentence, the blokes a thug I don't deny that. But he has served his punishment and should be free to get on with his life/

I thought the minimum was 50% of the sentence assuming good behaviour (he can do it then lol)

The person who Barton stubbed with the cigar had tried to set fire to Bartons T shirt, so he is hardly deserving of sympathy.

Keane didn't attack his team mates? Fair enough. I agree that attacking the opposition players is fine [/sarcasm]

And Barton didn't attack him for 'no reason' it was because the person (who did not make the complaint) who he assualted was mouthing off at him. His response was not justified, but as with all legal matters provocation plays a key role. Of course the fact the Barton battered him rather than giving him a clip round the ear is indefensible. But to suggest that it would be good for one thug to still be playing football to deal with another thug is foolish

Because thats exactly what I said :roll: (i can click that icon too after making a flippant post)

I don't see why you are defending Barton. IMO, of which many share the same view, he should be locked up and the key thrown away.

With Barton it is a matter of time before he does something hurrendous, so IMO it would be better to lock him up before he does it.

There is no point waiting until he kills someone before giving him life in jail. With his behavior and upbringing it does only seem like a matter of time...
