John Lewis -Faulty Airpods -Consumer Law

Posted 19th May 2020
The microphones in both of my AirPods have given up the ghost. After going through diagnostics with Apple they concluded they needed service and wanted to charge £65 each AirPod

If it was one microphone I would be miffed but with two I assume there is a component fault in that batch, especially as I hardly use the left one. I would expect £160 earphones to last a relatively long time.

I bought them about 29 months ago from John Lewis. Do you think I have a shot with the consumer rights act? Anyone had any experience?
