    John Lewis laptop & office 365 bundle misprice

    Seeing as someone marked the deal as spam when it's not, can people post with updates when they collect their orders today or whenever a delivery arrives. I think we might all be just be getting a copy of office 365...

    Ah that's a different post I think the one I read and commented on. I think there must have been a duplicate hence being marked as spam, thanks

    Any news? I can't pick mine up untill later, but fearing the same, that I'm just collecting the software! Also, if anyone has, did they argue that order states laptop is on order?

    I've held off emailing them but I might do now

    I have received tracking number for my order.I suspect will receive just software,and no laptop...Their terms and conditions clearly state that: "Please note that acceptance of your order takes place when it leaves our warehouse" so when my online order is still stating 2 items laptop and software they are obliged to honour the deal.

    Well as they have removed the "glitch" I thought why not! That's clear evidence that they messed up so I guess we wait and see what turns up!!

    Still no tracking number for me but like you said website is clear that once despatched from warehouse you enter a legal contract! They therefore should honour! My guess is that it's possible both would be sent from different areas hence some people who collect will only get the 365?

    If you look on the email it states the order is for laptop and software, then further down the page it only states the software will be delivered and no mention of laptop

    we need to do the same as people did with M&S tv deal, £1099 tv sold for £199 and M&S had to honour all orders

    That's what I queried in the email....it also states that some of the delivery may arrive separate but unsure if this is a generic response?

    I'm in on that! Didn't they petition?

    Let's do it but we need all who ordered to ideally comment on this thread. Law states that once despatched you are in a legal contract! That what the m and s petitioners pushed! If it was an error they should have notified is and not taken payment

    This is what the law states specifically for online purchases -

It is therefore important to carefully check the retailer’s terms and conditions (which must be available on their website) and emails – if a retailer simply acknowledges an order, there may be no contract at that point.

    John Lewis terms and condition for online purchase and order acceptance - "Please note that acceptance of your order takes place when it leaves our warehouse, at which time we'll debit your nominated account with the total amount of £46.90 (including charges for your selected delivery service and UK VAT where applicable). If you've paid via PayPal, your account is automatically debited as you place your order. For Click & collect, your order will usually leave our warehouse the evening before it's available at your chosen shop for collection. For Collect+, your order will usually leave our warehouse within a day of it being placed. If the order is being delivered direct to you from a supplier, for instance in the case of larger products such as electrical appliances and furniture, you may be charged at any point between confirmation of your order and despatch.

    To me that'd and unless we are notified of an issue we should recieve both laptop and 365 if they have despatched! Petition it is if not!

    The fact I have had money taken yesterday indicates parcels are coming from separate suppliers....will be interesting!

    Still awaiting tracking number at present but confirmation stated deliveries could be delivered seperatley?? Just reading up on other glitches and JL should at least be contacting us if they are not honouring! Poor CS if they don't! Is it worth ringing them I wonder?

    I've also seen others have been told laptop will be delivered and that was confirmed so must be on their systems or else it's lies and they record telephone calls! That would not look to good for them if true!

    I wasn't signed in when I ordered so its not coming up was trying to be as quick as possible so didn't want to faff with a password I couldn't remember. Once I completed the order I typed it in at the bottom of the page, but it hasn't added it to my account.
