Just bought iphone from o2 shop. Not activated and no sim installed. Is that how they come?

Aren't they supposed to set them up instore now?

I have signed the contract but not opened the sim yet.

Have they messed up allowing me to use a simplicity sim (doubtful I know!) or is that just the way it is?

Anyone know how to get the simcard in?

Sorry for posting yet another iphone thread, just thought it was weird it wasn't set up instore.

    Read and sync:

    To activate your iPhone 3G

[*] Insert your SIM card into your iPhone 3G. You'll need to use the SIM ejector tool, found inside your black user guide in the box. Upgrading customers will not require a new SIM and should just use their current one.
[*] Download and install the latest version of ]iTunes.
[*] Connect iPhone to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac or PC (not on the keyboard) using the included cable. iTunes opens automatically.
[*] Follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes to activate iPhone 3G and sync your contacts, calendars, music, photos, podcasts, videos, email accounts, and web bookmarks.
