hard work is all it requires

It's ok, our country is a soft touch for those who can't be bothered.....

Mate, dont worry about GCSE's. Yeh i got mainly C's and a few B's in mine, but i got one F and a few D (As levels ) at college. Went through clearing, got myself in, now just finished my second degree. Carry on with it, get to college, get urself a couple of A levels of a decent grade (you'l prefer college trust me) then apply to uni (if that what you want to do)

GCSE's are more important then people think.

Some universities look at GCSE grades before looking at A Levels or any other qualifications you have.

You won't even get to do A levels without at least 4 A*-C.

OP - if you got 1 C or anything, have a look at BFD courses.

was gunna say unlucky m8 but seen as how you insult my job heres somthing no1 at my mcdonalds results were that bad you utter retard

well I'm jealous already - I've wanted to work with animals for years but can't afford the pay cut - are there any nearby zoo's or safari parks or anything that might take you on as a trainee?

Sorry you never got the results you wanted, lots of options out there though. Maybe talk to someone at school/college (careers advisor)

It depends where you work. I know I don't generally consider anybody without a 2.1 from a top 5 university, a minimum of three As at A level and lots of A*s and As from GCSE (minimum of A in Sciences, Mathematics and English). However, I not everywhere has such high standards - it just depends on where you want to go in life.

If filth and fury is to be believed you are destined for a career in the armed forces. You are just what they look for, so (s)he always tells us.

Dont worry about it - my sister is off to college to do something in Computing and she got on C and the rest were all Ds-G's.

You can still do whatever you want to - if you put your mind to it.

It never stopped me doing well, i got 1 C 4 D's and 5 E's. started working within a month of finishing, spent 12 months in first job before mass redundancy, then 12 years for the same company moving up the ladder.

good luck with whatever u do

What's with the fuss about working at McDonald's?

Has anyone actually looked at the benefits on offer?! And for managers it's widely known they provide great training -could be a springboard to all sorts of stuff. Or there's the chance to take a sabbatical later on - one of their young female managers was in the paper not so long ago, and she was off round the world for six months (or a year, or something). Nice to be paid enough to fund that and still have a job to come back to.

Doesn't seem like such a bad option to me. (And no, I don't work for McDonald's - not sure I'd even be up to it - too fast-paced for me )

didn't do me any harm to pay my way through college ;-)
