Not so, Sony tells Kotaku. When asked whether the rumors of a two day Gran Turismo 5 delay for Europe were true, Sony replied, "We've announced the date as the 24th and have not changed that at all."So, a November 24 release for Gran Turismo 5. Be there or be square.

the only thing thats got me worried is that very wouldn't call everyone that has made a GT5 order to say its been delayed based on internet rumours and not some form of hard evidence.

    Would they?

    Maybe a UK delay?

Gamers all over the world breathed a sigh of relief last week, after … Gamers all over the world breathed a sigh of relief last week, after hearing news that an official release date for the much-anticipated “Gran Turismo 5” game had finally been announced. However, things appear to have taken a confusing turn since them.It now looks like European gamers may have to wait a couple more days until they get their hands on a copy of “GT5.” According to a recent article over at thesixthaxis.com, the French and Dutch PlayStation sites appear to have changed their release date to November 26th.The same applies across mainland Europe as well. However, at this stage it looks like the US and the UK still have their release date as November 24th. If this is actually true, there are going to be a lot of frustrated gaming fans around Europe come next Wednesday.Sony has been contacted about the matter, and I’m sure we’ll keep you updated if we hear any other news.

They've either got their info wrong or aren't able to secure stock in time for the official release date. I guess you're using some sort of code to make it a bargain so might be worth just waiting. Don't think I've ever even considered ordering from any Shop Direct retailers at their full prices!

A tenner.... in around 3 years..??

Guess it depends how many copies are released to the UK and if the game is AS good as we are hoping!!

£10 6-8 months .It's no more special than any other game on any other platform which also seems to end up this price within that time frame (cod being the exception as it take a little longer for that price bracket. It's a tough buyers market and it's flooded.

TBF I actually think this title might take a bit longer than 6-8 months 12-14month maybe for £9.99 unless the game is really just all hype and nonsense and the fans don't like it.

    £10 6-8 months

You think so?? -- I will be surprised if its that price in 6-8 months, even F1 Championship from 4 years ago is still £12, plus a lot of the other "decent" driving sim's still fetch good money.

Yeah they would spend 5 years making a game just to sell it at £10 within a few months.
    I don't think so.

Release date is still November 24 for the UK. Can't wait for it.
Even if there was a delay, Littlewoods would be one of the last places we would find it out from.

They wouldn't decide to make a game that will be £10 in a few months - noone would, but if it doesn't live up to hype and expectations then that's where it could end up.

To be fair to Very they called me on day before the official announement of 24th november to tell me that the 24th was the new release date, but i just thought nothing of it until the day after all the game websites were talking about the new release date,

So tell me why MGS, Killzone 2, even the first F1 game and so many others have not been £10 despite being out for so long?

Answer: because it's actually you that knows nothing about the real world and thinks every game will automatically go to whatever price you want to pay.
You just keep waiting for that magical £10

"LittleBigPlanet" was conceived & developed in just over 3 years & that was less than £9 at The Hut Group sites within six months of the European release. I think (although I cannot find the deal thread in a brief search) that t even dropped below a tenner at Play.com for one day within the first two months as well.

Fortunately, in the case of that title, the user community keeps the experience new & exciting enough to still be worth playing today. However, due to the lack of marketing & the initial delay it experienced, it may well have been a different story for another PS3-exclusive title.

I think in the case of Littlebigplanet, they kind of didn't mind if it was sold cheaply, as with LBP, they have loads of DLC that they are probably relying on for income rather than a one time sale, and also even know it's an amazing game, it's not exactly an epic such as God of War 3, Metal Gear Solid and so on.

Well that's what i assume anyway.

"LittleBigPlanet" was supposed to be a "console selling" title & it just did not seem to take off (due to an apathy towards advertising/marketing).

You are right regarding ongoing downloadable content at, in some cases, more than 'considerable', cost, but there has been some good quality & value-for-money content too.

That said, I think we'll probably find "Gran Turismo 5" will have a selection of "at cost" content as well.

I would sooner play "LittleBigPlanet" (& "LittleBigPlanet 2") over "Gran Turismo 5" (from what I have experienced so far), "God of War", &/or "Metal Gear Solid" any day of the week.

Only time will tell how successful the latest "Gran Turismo" franchise release will be. You never can predict how well a title will be perceived, & how well it will sell. It must be so annoying for the individuals involved.

I can't tell you why as MGS & Killzone 2 at least have been under £10 on several occassions. I got MGS for £4.99 from a deal here.

I have taken a long search on here and i can't see where these games on several occasions have been under £10.
And the game you got for £5 must have obviously been pre-owned, which is irrelevant.
And my point still stands, those games were not only out for a few months before hitting those low levels.
