hmmm i think i took about 15 then had about 9months out due to my life at the time, then had about another 5 and passed first time with 3 or 4 minors

Only had around 5 official lessons before passing my test.

Went out loads with parents in their car though, which I recommend doing more than lessons as it's cheaper and the same thing once you know the basics.

Blimey, that was nearly 17 years ago!!

about 30 leassons, passed 1st time
(my leassons cost £10) and had 1 a week.

1 minor (H)

failed 7 times then gave up-mrs barky drives tho-people like me arent meant to be on the road

ye tht was my plan but my parent didnt like the look of the bill when they tried to add me to the insurance  so they are looking for a cheaper insurer before they stick me on it lol

I drove myself home (without stalling) on the 1st lesson. I had been in my parents car for 1 hour around an air field before going in the instructors car.

I had about 15 lessons before I was involved in an accident and I haven't been able to drive/take lessons since.

WOOOOOOOOO! ermmmmmmm I had about 35 hours professional in total after … WOOOOOOOOO! ermmmmmmm I had about 35 hours professional in total after about 10 hours I was ok, 20 fine the extra was to make sure I had it all nailed for the test and I was 100% confident not just learning to past the test but drive too ifyswim?

better to be sure i think so aswell, costs about £100 all in on the day, you start with a lesson before, then my driving instructor made me pay for the use of his car DURING my lesson! £40 down already, then about £60 for the test! rip off

I had 10 lessons and passed first time 25 years ago!!!
I think with more cars on the road now its not as easy as it was. Best of luck though:thumbsup:

I had a mate that taught me to drive, over a few months. I didn't have any 'proper' lessons and just swotted up by reading Highway code and stuff. Luckily, I passed first time, so I saved a fortune.

i had 32 hrs and passed 1st time with 4 minors that was the end of june (this year)

Ten lessons, myself. Although I did get as much practice in as I could. It all helps get used to the roads.

Go me

i had about 25 lessons and passed first time with 3minors.

1 minor

had about 10-11 lessons, passing first time with zero support from my parents, nor the opportunity to drive outside of my lessons. I also had no faults.

I just spoke to them about adding myself on to my dads policy and they wanted £350.
I think it would be cheaper to get the lessons professionally and then add myself onto his policy.

I guess I'll have to use public transport for a little longer but it's all good as everything I need is closeby and my area has excellent facilities.

I had 10 hours of lessons before I passed.

I passed first time of course, 2 minors.
