Just received my Nintendo Wii....

Found 1st Dec 2007
from [U dial-a-phone as it was my free gift when i chose my new contract. Parcel force delivered it yesterday with no problems.
In fact my delivery date should have been Dec 10th but it has arrived early to my amazement considering the wii shortage.

But, it looks like an import from Italy as it has a sticker on the outside of the box with the initials ITA as well as an import sticker, also the manual looks like it has been photocopied i presume because the original would have been in italian. The wii sports game is in a cardboard sleeve rather than a normal box but works fine.

All seems fine except for the instructions and manuals not in colour.

Apart from the above then i am a very happy customer and would definately recommend using dial-a phone.

ps...any offers for my wii ?? :whistling: ;-) :-D

The sports game always comes in the cardboard sleeve as standard, happy Wiiing!!!:giggle:

The "newer", well more recent Wii's come with Wii Sports in a cardboard sleeve. Does your wii mote come in a silicon glove? If so, it is a more recent one, as opposed to old stock

the earlier editions the sports game came in plastic case, newer wiis are in cardboard sleeve.

had a wii on release sold it cos it was pants (plastic Case)

bought one in july sold it again cos it was erm pants (cardboard sleeve)

i suppose not really...just didnt think it would be.

Do you think it would affect the re-sale value though?

It doesn't matter if its foreign the Wii's only in 3 regions.
NTSC USA
NTSC Japan
PAL Europe + Australia + a few other places.

Forgive me for being stupid but what the exact difference in the above?

Afaik, just the games you can play. Similar to region coding with DVD.

Eg NTSC USA games will only work on a US Wii, not a UK one etc.

A pal game would not work on a US wii etc etc.

You get the picture.
