    Kettle and Toaster Recommendations Please...

I'm looking to buy a new kettle and toaster but am confused by what is on the market as you can't exactly try them out before you buy them :o(

Can anyone recommend a toaster under £40 that toasts evenly and does 4 slices...not after anything too fancy....just use it for toast.

A kettle that is quiet-ish and doesn't take forever to boil the water. No alarm/whistle.Just one that switches itself off when it has boiled the water.Water level indicator a must. Again, something under £40 please.

Not too fussed over colours or whether they are from the same company.

    Thanks guys and gals.

I would recommend Morphy Richards for both. I've had them for over a year now and have no complaints what so ever.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that but the reevo rating put me off it as the toaster seems to be slightly dangerous. Just had my kitchen redone so don't fancy it going on fire in the near future! lol

As I said I bought them over a year ago, so you will need to look around for the where the best price is now. But, for ease of looking at the particular models I've found them in Argos for you-

Morphy Richards cream 4 slice toaster, its £39.99 in Argos and their number is 422/6567

Morphy Richards Accents Country Cream Traditional Kettle, its again £39.99 in Argos and their number for this is 422/9674

    Hope this helps!

Make sure your new kettle is 3KW, has a level gauge and isnt stainless steel as they suffer badly from water stains after a few months. A built-in filter is also recommended. Why not register with which for a trial month to see their reviews. £1 for 30 days.
