If the Android box has Bluetooth, one of these might do: amazon.co.uk/Tec…ard

It's about the size of a remote control, but has a qwerty keyboard and touch pad.
£10.99 on Amazon, but I got one for £9.87 using bespoke offers - it's like Flubit but they gave me a better price.
by coincidence i have just sent that one back as it stated rechargeable when it isn't.
x331 is rechargeable and is a good keyboard for what you need as long as the box isn't a MINIX as it doesn't like them.
All depends on your specific needs and what you prefer. We went through a range of options from Air mice through to a full size keyboard which we ended up settling on. We started out thinking like you that a standard remote sized option would be best but it just infuriated us as they are difficult to use by comparison to something larger.

There are so many varying options and budget ranges that it's hard to suggest a single thing that works best. For using a full browser I'd advocate a full keyboard option and then getting an airmouse/keyboard combo for lighter duties as it gives you the best of both worlds. You can get a cheap fullsize wireless Keyboard very cheap so I'd consider spending the money to add that down the line but for home media duties the K400 is the best value for money offering that just plain works.

Currently using a Logitech K400 keyboard - but is out of your budget

For basic use we use a cheap generic usb remote with mouse input options - The one we use was about £3 on ebay

Otherwise you could opt for something like an airmouse with keyboard as these tend to be a best compromise

Rii keyboards are well rated but our mini one didn't last the abuse a remote has to take - amazon.co.uk/Rii…ini

One option I'm considering for my tablet is the Rii k12 which might be a good compromise for you.

I got 1 of these 2.4ghz devices, comes with the usb receiver so it's good if your box doesn't have Bluetooth - plug and play as well

How easy, is it to use the mouse function for "highlighting, copy, paste".

Does the one you've given the Amazon link for have an air mouse function? Looking to use with AFTV for Showbox and Popcorn time as there's no visible cursor to use with the AFTV remote
