Kids have just learned to ride a bike today.

Need to go out and get them a bike now, any recommendations as to where to go or what type to look for?

They are ages 4 and 6 yrs old.

We have a halfords nearby so will pop in there tomorrow, cant think of anywhere else.

Thanks!

Halfords kids bikes are solid but stabilisers are always misaligned out of the box so worth asking for them to be balanced properly.

Well done but how did they learn to ride a bike today if you're going to get bikes for them?

Lottery-funded project in Glasgow teaching kids to cycle. They have all the bikes/helmets too.

Or consider 2nd hand. You can get some good deals because kids outgrow the bikes within a year or 2.

personally I've pony ever got my kids second hand bikes from Gumtree or car boot sales as they quickly out grow them and brands new aren't cheap. you'll find most kids bikes still look new even when second hand as they don't get used much and I've never paid over £15. my brand of choice was raleigh but that's probably more to do with nostalgia. But they just seem a lot more robust than supermarket ones.

Thanks. Found a local second-hand bikestation and we are going to go along next week and hopefully get something for them!
