    Killing and eating a rat....

Any thoughts? Can't see a problem myself.

what you do in your private life is yr buisness

I don't see a problem with it personally

Guess this is the I'm a Celeb row.

I can't see the problem, especially in a show where in other segments they eat live bugs and insects.

not something I'd anticipate doing but what the heck

Hang on i've just thought about this and "i dont mind chewing on a rat " :w00t:

Well i think it's because they did it in a national park, with domesticated rats. so it's a bit like eating a cat in that sense.
It's the show producers fault though for 1. releasing the rats into the camp. and 2. giving permission for them to eat the rat.

Yeah. They were biting the heads off living things and eating them. What's the difference? Old ratty's just a vermin anyway.

I'd lock up all those wild animal things, some of them actually eat other ones alive, the barbarians.

I wonder what all these rat supporters would do if they found one in their house, the old mouse trap would soon come out.

I thought this was going to be a BG1 thread :-D

    Circle of life.

I don't see an issue with it either...they were hungry, used their intuition...good on them.

    strange.

but who knows, rats have feelings too I guess.

I suppose it all comes down to whether the pair realised that it was a 'studio' in a controlled zone with controlled animals or not.

I could quite legally go out tomorrow and catch a rabbit to eat. However, i wouldn't be able to grab one from a hutch.

But if you were hungry, the hutch is just an obstacle to the food, you'd still eat it right? Is there a law against eating pets?

Make sure you cook it first.

There are laws regarding killing and eating livestock but I don't think a ]dog and cat come under that catergory.
In the UK animals must be killed on licensed premises and must first be stunned - normally with a bolt to the head.

Don't forget that this is not UK law, but Australian law. I know in America killing any animal that can be classed as pet is illegal.
