It really is a bad week for me, the missus decided to bleed the radiator but she unscrewed to far and the screw fell off so she could not tighten it up, by the time i got back to help half the floor was soaked.I mopped it all up yesterday but this morning all the joins have risen and slight gaps formed in the laminate. Not sure if should take the bad pieces out now incase it spreads and replace them, any advise please, bloody nightmare lol.

I'd wait to see how it looks when it dries out - laminate naturally moves a bit. - Can you borrow a de humidifier of anyone?

Poor you hope you get it sorted

dont know anyone with one mate i only had it put down couple weeks ago had expensive underlay too but i suppose it only stops damp from underneath

do you have any spare bits of laminate? If you do your best bet is taking out soaked ones and dry floor out underneath for a few days then fit spare ones. Once they are damaged they won't shrink back into shape so they will have to be thrown away. If you can't replace with like for like it might be worth a claim on the house insurance (unless the excess on your policy is more than it is to replace the flooring yourself) hope you get it sorted

Its probably knackered now tbh mate. Once the laminate has warped then its unlikely to regain its old position. Your best bit would be to lift out any bad pieces and check underneath for more water. You should also contact your insurance company asap, this should be covered.

bummer, might be worth posting on here asking if anyone has any spare, you might get a HOT DEAL !!! Check out the well know auction site as well on the off chance anyone is selling it

my washing machine flooded and we thought the laminate flooring had dried out,it looked a lil bumpy in places,it wasnt til we had the kitchen replaced and we took it up that we realised the floor beneath was completely rotten from the water damage and we had to have the whole lot replaced so I would say get it up quick!
