If you like landscape, volcano's, rough terrain, Lanzarote

If you want a nice touristy place, shops, large beaches, lots of girls not wearing much.... Gran Canaria

If you haven't been though, I'd suggest Barcelona, ALOT more cultured and touristy than Gran Canaria, massive beach, goregous sea food and imo is the best City in Spain.

Def portugal !! totally recommend it

We went Gran Canaria a couple of years ago - its fantastic. We stayed at Puerto Rico, the beach of Amadores is a 20minute walk away along the cliffs (sounds dangerous, its not, its a path lol), Amadores is lovely - imported coral sand, blue water - gorgeous! This is a smaller resort. Puerto Rico is busier, good night life (1 or 2 'clubs' plenty of restaurants) not party busy, just busy iykwim, 2 harbours, plenty to do. Would recommend to any1
If ur after a party atmosphere however, Maspalomas is the resort to stay in - its massive, loads & loads of night life & loads of shops etc - too busy for me!

just gotta find a cheap deal:thumbsup:

We booked through Thomsons - probably not the cheapest option lol so cant really help you there. Sorry!

use thomsons, there is a voucher for £100 off a £500 spend.you could try direct holidays or olympic (cyprus or greece).i booked olympic about a month ago leaving sun. £450 for a week s/c in zante , 2 people.

What about Malta?

My mum and dad have a place in Portugal and we all got a great deal for flights next year, were opnly paying £84 each.

thats a 2 week holiday in portigal with flights for only £84, that was with globespan....and plus its the oldies appartment

Woo Hoo !!!

You got lots of Tesco club card tokens xl is worth looking at. Booked Gran Canaria and got it all for £500 + tesco tokens.

jeeze Gaia my tesco voutcher gets my christmas food

Yeh but I have a sea of wine due to the 1000 point codes ... had about £150 so it went to £600 in deals.

any other experiences of p rico or maspolomas im torn between the two have found hols s/c for 2 for £480 happy with that but not sure where to go now - btw no transfers and they are quoting £24 each return is this ok - flights are at bad times how much is taxi?

I think it only takes a couple of hours to drive round the whole island or something like that so I wouldnt have thought taxis would be too much but not sure - dont quote me! They may bump the prices up for tourists.
Didnt really go to Maspalomas, only drove through it on the way to Palmitos Park (a bird park/zoo place thingy).
Think it took 45mins/1hr maybe 1.5hrs from airport to Puerto Rico when we went. Maspalomas is nearer the airport. I think £24 each return is ok.
I believe Maspalomas is massive & really touristy whereas Puerto Rico still has some old charm about it as well as being fairly busy & theres a ferry to Puerto Mogan a little fishing village that goes everyday.
Playa De La Ingles is the party central bit really - thats near Maspalomas.
Cant really help you anymore Im afraid!
Dont know if I wouldve enjoyed staying in Maspalomas cos its supposed to be so busy, loads of shopping centres & stuff. Would be good to visit for a day probably from puerto rico - there is a bus that goes there, dead cheap too.
