Laptop - a good deal?

I currently have a Dell Inspiron 6000 which is pretty massive to be honest and is severely slow now. It's fairly old. I'm looking at getting a new laptop and would pay up to about £500 for one as I use it daily.

I use my laptop for watching dvds, itunes, photoshop/imageready and internet mainly. I do a lot of arty stuff so I guess I'd need a good graphics card? Also photoshop takes up a LOT of memory which slows everything else to a halt. I can't use my graphics tablet currently while itunes and photoshop are open as it's too unresponsive! It's driving me crazy. I occasionally use programs for Uni like SPSS which eat memory as well.

Anyhoo, I don't know much about laptops, but have been looking at 2:

An HP Pavillion DV6-2020SA Notebook at…oct

    A sony VAIO T4300 at…gle

Can someone please advise which (if any) is best, or if there is another deal out there? I carry it with me everywhere so want something fairly light but to be honest anything is better than my dell. Not had many problems with it but it's not substantial for what i want to do anymore.

I actually think I'll go with this one:…mtd

from Comet. Apparently the Sony doesn't have a great processor.
