Laptop "lap" protector, (Cushion, desk, etc.)

I know this is a slightly odd thing to be looking for, however i use my laptop when on my bed and when sitting on the sofa, and the laptop gets rather hot, and i have also recently seen in the news that the heat and the wifi emittion from the laptop can increase the risk of infertility.

So i would like to buy a cushion, desk or anything else that would help. I have found a few things, but most of them are american, :x

    pixmania.co.uk/uk/…tml

    and

    xchangeuk.com/dev…ign

However I have seen this one from america which i like also:

    lapinator.com/

I was just wondering if anyone could help me find somewhere which sold it in England and if anyone had any of these for a little review, or if anyone had any similar products.

    Thankyou

I actually use a square piece of chipboard - when left on that it will allow proper circulation of air when machine is placed on lap etc.

Not really what you want, but we are here to save money

Looks like everyone is saving money! I may have to do the same as this obviously works if you three are all using books of wood.

I would still like to know if anyone has any of the products or knows where to get them from

Moved to deal request now joecool22_11

You could maybe try a lap tray (tray with a bean cushion on the bottom?).

millarcat, i just looked at a laptray! and it looks perfect! I've never heard of one before, but it looks like just what i need! Do you know of any shops (not online) that i can by them in.

I have got the iLap its great.
Not as cheap as the chopping board or book but works perfectly for my mac powerbook.
It has a large pad at the front to rest your wrists on which you can detach so that you can use it on your desk.
A friend used mine then bought his own the next day.
    Hope this helps.

Nice one, woolworths, instore (poundstrecher) maybe even asda or tesco. Once you start looking you'll probably see loads of them
