Minecraft is very intensive on the cpu, and more memory helps a lot.
So you might need something with a decent-ish cpu in it (i5 5th gen perhaps?)

personally i would sooner purchase a second had i5 with windows 7 on than a new i3 with windows 10.
ive bin repairing computers for 12+ years and i can honestly say ive downgraded at least 15 laptops either back to windows 7 since the free upgrade or due to being new and factory installed with it.
windows 7 is brilliant. its like windows xp was in its day.
its amazing to see how fast a brand new laptop becomes once you put windows 7 onto it, especially if its a i5 with 8GB of ram l

ive seen some with 8gb memory for around the price i'm looking for if minecraft is going to take a lot of memory, i'd rather not buy second hand as well.......i'll look into getting one with windows 7 if you think that would be better, thanks for your replies i'll have a look at the link 3spartan posted

As lolypoplee's states that is his preference, mine would be the other way (no offence intended lolypoplee). Main reason for that is that windows 10 is everything windows 7 was plus more and will be relevant for a far longer period. This article will go through it for you though in far greater detail than either of us could here (although ignoring what professional brings that interests me).

I've found quite the opposite, installing windows 10 has given a new lease of life to laptops and netbooks that were struggling on windows 7. We tried fresh installs of 7 with slight improvements, but a fresh install of windows 10 has been much better.

i completely agree with all the posts above .
i actually have found a couple of laptops that run better with windows 10 than 7.
like someone said above its a person preference.
windows 10 is like marmite.... you either love it or hate it

personally i would keep away from Acer.
they may make and manufacture more laptops than anyone else but i find them to fail quite often, usually with motherboard faults.

i really hope its ok for you. but as its a refurbished one its probably already been repaired ? proving my point lol.
it might just be an opened box one tho and now cannot be sold as new .
not all acers are bad, some last years , and some people swear by them. they have been going for long enough.
they manufacturer (i might be wrong) packard bell and either e-machines and or e-systems too, but might be wrong.
really hope its ok as the spec wilbe fine.
