Laptop won't talk to my HTC

When I got my HTC phone a few months ago, I set it all up, sync etc to my laptop.

Now I come to try and get myself more organised, cannot seem to get the laptop to see the HTC. Keeps telling me to plug the device in, when it is already plugged in. Wifi, bluetooth etc all turned on.

Want to start using the HTC's many features but would help to get this problems sorted first.

Also want to become a google goth. Used google docs but for some reason it will only print me blank pages!! Getting whole family onto google calendar soon.....!

Google could change my life ; - I

My laptop is a rubbish conversationalist also

It probably can't detect the phone because you haven't installed the drivers. Go to the HTC site and get them, install them, then try again.

With all the automatic updates that get installed these days I reckon something has changed since you first did the install.

Reinstalling drivers might do it or it might need a complete uninstall/reinstall.

This happened to me the other day. I just restarted my laptop and it worked fine.
