Hi sam. How's it going?

Lots of threads on here about laptops. As a starting point, HERE you will find the specifications to play your chosen game.

Quick overview:

MINIMUM:
  • Memory: 2 GB
  • Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7600
  • The Sims 4 File Size: 20 GB
  • OS: Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10

RECOMMENDED:
  • Memory:4 GB
  • Graphics Card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
  • The Sims 4 CPU:Intel Core i5-4460T
  • File Size:20 GB
  • OS:Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10

As you can see, The Sims doesn't require a 'powerhouse' to run but more is always better eh? Also, it depends on what you deem to be "other" games. Some need quite hefty specs to run even low-level. The 'AAA' games usually require at least 8GB RAM and a good gfx card by Radeon (RX range) or Nvidia (GTX range) to run them smoothly.

A budget would be good too as a "gaming" laptop will be around £500 upwards. See what others suggest as a viable option but there have been a few good(ish) deals of late.

Regards, Phsy.
