Does anyone know the cheapest place to go for a Las Vegas holiday. 7 days in the last week of july or first week of august?

I've tried searching on here but nothing really came up

Thanks in advance!

Try hotwire.com, ivegas.com, hotel.com have booked hotels in Vegas and all over USA using these sites and all fab deals, hotwire also good for cheap car hire and internal flights in USA

the hotels are dert cheap we stayed 4 nights 3 people for 71pound stayed at circus circus because we had the little one with us but even the luxor was only hundred pound its the flights that kill us i found virgin flights with expedia on the virgin website they were over £2500 for the 3 of us alone went to expedia and the same flights cost me £1500, also try doing a search on travelzoo as they normally have some flight deals although it is not always the dates you wont but you may hit lucky. enjoy its a mad weird experience almost surreal as you spend all daylight in hotels but they are fab

What spending money would you recommend?

as much or as little as you can afford

With Vegas it's different to a lot of holiday destinations, as there is so much to see and do, and you can do the things on a shoe string budget or you can go the whole hog.

You can go out drinking at night and spend £10 and be extremely drunk, or you can go out to a club and get table service, and spend £500 and still be very sober.

It all depends how much you earn and how much you have to spend.

If you are on a budget i would recommend staying in the imperial palace, as it's right in the centre and rooms can be picked up for next to nothing.

Where if you stop in something like circus circus, you are quite a way out from the main part of the strip and it will cost around the same price .

I would also recommend booking via ebookers, as you can get quidco, and they normally are the cheapest place. Just don't check too many times, as they tend to put the price up the more a certain holiday gets viewed.

Would ppl reccomend just getting flights out there then dealing with a hotel when I get there. Or is that too brave

you could do that as they have so many hotels one would have room but i dont see them being any cheaper when you out there as they are so low in price here also some do offers like 3 nights for 4 circus circus is at the top of the strip i do agree and we wouldnt of stopped there if we didnt have the little fella with us but you can a decent hotel for really cheap all the hotels are themed and grand nothing like in this country lol

im going then too !! cant wait... VEEGGGGAAAASSSS !

We just got back from Las Vegas two weeks ago.

I checked flight prices through ]kayak.com we flew from Glasgow to Newark, spent 4 days in New York then flew on to Vegas from Newark. Flights for the whole trip in January cost us £900 and we flew continental. I would recommend picking out a few days and going through Kayak to get an idea.

I did a lot of research and eventually booked direct with the Hotel. I stayed at a 1 bedroom suite at the Mirage for around $104 a night. This was a special offer they posted through facebook page of Your Vegas Beat. MGM also do a specials on a Thursday where they put up special promotions on their Facebook page. A lot of the hotels offer a 'cheapest rate guarantee' so if you find it cheaper you call them and they reduce the rate

Other good places are cheapervegas.com, vegasmessageboards.com and the las vegas trip advisor forum.

The Mirage was ideal, nice hotel and right in centre of strip.

Eating out wasn't cheap, but the booze is free while you are playing on the slots/tables etc - just make sure you tip the waitress $1 and she will put you on her route.

We did a helicopter to Grand Canyon which was great but got a bit stitched with paying extra for a vegas strip tour which was the flight path out.

You could quite easily spend a fortune as $40 can disappear easily in 15 minutes on gambling but if you are sensible and not there to win your fortune then you don't need to spend too much. We didn't mind losing the money as we wern't paying for drinks!

Have a great time and give me a shout if you need any more info. I would agree that Circus Circus was too far out and it will be Hot in July so you won't want to be walking much.

I think there is some big conference in July which will put the prices up massively (I've been looking to go in the first half of July for OH's 30th) For some reason, if you buy the flight and hotel on their own, it seems to often come out more expensive. - Most other places the opposite is true. For the week we wanted, flights were over 1.5k each, yet we could book same flight with top hotel (Bellagio/Mandalay/Caesars) for about £800 a week each. I've searched and searched both times we went to Vegas, and ended up coming back to expedia. If you can find a good flight, then broadwaybox is excellent for codes to book hotels direct with special offers (remember the US add sales tax tho, so go right through to the checkout part to see the exact hotel cost - otherwise you might think it is cheaper than it is)
Broadwaybox are also very good for listing discount shows, so if you did want to see something whilst there, take a look at this site again - broadwaybox.com/las…as/
(I'd recommend seeing Ka or O if you like cirque du soleil - I'm a big fan)... but then you didn't ask for that...
