Lauda slams 'completely mad' Hamilton

Found 13th Jun 2011
Niki Lauda has called on the FIA to hand Lewis Hamilton sanctions for what he believes is dangerous driving, warning that if there is no reaction to his latest collisions then someone could get killed.

This is the same guy, the Austrian legend Niki Lauda, who contemplated suicide and nearly burnt to death amongst his many near-death exploits.

Why so mad fuhrer ?.

Hamilton should get action taken against him imo

But at least this time he came off second best in and in the wall unlike his other victims at Monaco

Bet his blood was boiling when Button won lol he would have been like a child with its lip out after its toys were taken away hehe

Lewis was a good driver 2 seasons ago, now he is just a liability.

So when schumi and senna do it they are legends.

But when Lewis is aggressive he is a "liability". Ahhh ok that makes sense.

Yeah, it's a leader as in the title used by Hitler - it's not a term used generically to describe a leader.

is it cause he's black

Hamilton did nothing wrong! Button was slow out of the final corner, got off line, and then corrected to get back on line. Hamilton had better drive and was on the correct racing line. Button drove across the front of Hamilton.
For once Hamilton was wronged by his team mate.

There does seem to be a negative energy towards this guy, ever since he burst on the scene.

Without drivers like Hamilton, F1 would be boring. He has a sniff of Senna about, taking risks to win. Kobayashi is another driver who is great to watch.

"By being a racing driver you are under risk all the time. By being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win. And the main motivation is to compete for victory, it's not to come 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th. I race to win as long as I feel it's possible. Sometimes you get it wrong? Sure, it's impossible to get it right all the time. But I race designed to win, as long as I feel I'm doing it right."

Ayrton Senna

Sour grapes from Lauda.

I hate Hamilton.

Talented? Definitely.

But that is no excuse for his arrogance and dangerous driving.

I know it is a fine line between aggressive racing and driving like an idiot but he has crossed the line too many times lately.

Schumaccer was one of the most arrogant drivers going, even now he drives like he shouldn't.

What makes him special though

Difference is Schumacher and Senna didnt grow up with a golden spoon in their mouth like Hamilton did, having always had the best or 2nd best car he has yet to prove how good he is.

Senna and Schumi both proved they could do it in not very good cars, I doubt Hamilton could achieve what both those two did in a Sauber or a Force India for example, he probably wouldnt be as arrogant if he had served is time in lesser teams.

I cant wait to see Paul di Resta show Hamilton how to do it once he gets into a top car, after all he did beat Hamilton in lower formula

Hamilton has been acting a bit of a tit since he won the championship. I think a couple of seasons drving a Force India should teach him a lesson.

No, he had to play understudy to a double world champion in his first season.....and he finished above him.

Yep but in the best car when he was Ron Dennis's golden boy so not really a surprise, its the same reason why Lewis wont go to Ferrari while Alonso is there.....

Put Hamilton and Alonso in a Force India and we all know who would do better.........

I only watch F1 for the crashes anyway, so I'm easy.

Wtf does that have to do with anything. He proved how good he is by coming 2nd in his first season in F1 and then winning it in his second. Regardless of how good his car is he pulled off some off the best races i've ever seen.

As for Paul Di Resta, it's funny how no one mentioned that he rammed into the back of another car unnecessarily by trying to pull an impossible takeover. But it's fine when he does it right?

Jenson was awesome yestarday, 6 pits and he still won, what a race, easily the best F1 I have seen.

I dont care about the idiot Lewis.......Jenson has gained more heat from me, what a driver.

Also Alonso would own Lewis in a force india car.

Saw the film today. Absolutely brilliant. Senna and Prost were before my time (born 1992), but it was incredible to watch. I'd read alot about the rivalry between Prost and Senna, but had no idea of the scale of it. An emotional rollercoaster, but compelling. Brilliant driver. Brilliant man. Brilliant film. Highly recommended.
