Hi guys
we have purchased a lay z spa and yesterday set it all up, it finally reached a temperature of 94f at 12.00 midnight but i was unsure if we could keep it on overnight so turned it off (as nothing tells you in the instructions), i was wondering if someone who has one could advise me, as i am guessing been as we turned it off last night the temperature will have dropped and i will have to go through the whole process tonight and wait for it reach the required temp again, basically will i ever be able to get into the spa. many thanks in advance.

You can leave it on as long as you want.........obviously at the cost of your electricity bill

If you use the inflatable cover and lid, that seals in the heat and stops it cooling down:

I turn the heat setting down to say 25 degrees with the cover on and let it 'tick over' between use (I use mine daily) the thermostat will maintain that and only heat the water when needed. A couple of hours before you want to use it turn the temp up to 40 (leaving the lid ON) and it will very quickly get up to heat.

It's the best way to do it as the heating element in the pump is a 2KW - 2000 watts which is like boiling your kettle continuously (watch the leccy meter spin wildly !!!!). As you have found it's pointless turning it off as it takes AGES to heat from cold

Get a bottle or two of chilled white wine enjoy and relax in your spa whilst getting trashed :-D

PS: I bought mine from here : bestwayspa.co.uk/Lay…tml VERY helpful people and all original spares and accesories are available in case it goes wrong

have you done this with yours? as it said in the instructions dont leave on for more than 8 hours however it sayd it takes ten hours to heat up, see i would keep it on permanently so i could use it whenever i want but dont want it blowing up LOL, and then when it reached the max temp of 40 (or whatever it is) does it just maintain that thanks very much,

I got my mum to switch it on just and it had dropped to 88 so i have told her to leave it on, so once it gets to the max temp it will just maintain it then, i dont mind about the leccy at the mo (she says until i receive the bill LOL) oooo i really excited, we have got one of them inflatable cover thingys but it dropped from 94 to 88 in the space of approx 8 hours so i just thought switch it on and keep it on, but i will do your suggestion of the 25 degrees after today, i just want to chill in spa and be a lady of leisure.:-D

Can anyone help - my lay z spa stays on heat if filter left on (was turning it off to save money and wondered why kept dropping) but inleft this on and it still dropped to 25 i left - i spoke to lay z spa and they said if want to use often best to keep say 37 and bump up hour or so before want to use - but now have been leaving filter AND heater on (red light shows heating but green shows the set temp when reached and meant to stay that hot right?) but yet when u check in morning it has dropped again - does it need to be used to maintain heat or can it be left on for 2/3 days without use at 37 as heard this is cheaper to do rather than heat up 2/3 tines a week from cold - can anyone help as lay z spa said it shouldnt drop but unsure what i am doing wrong - thanks

Unsure how long you’ve had your lazy spa my sister had an error daily she contacted lazy spa and they got her to send lots of pictures and they’ve now sent her a replacement as it’s sill under guarantee - worth contacting them again and asking about your guarantee
