LCD Cleaning

Hey,

Bought a new LCD monitor and also have a laptop screen to clean.

What product is the safest to use? The LCD monitor has some finger prints and the laptop screen has some food particles stuck on the screen.

I microfibre cloth,

you can buy these at supermarkets, just damp them in water and wring them out, and carefully wipe, no chemicals

wash in the washine machine but dont use conditioner, or they dont work right

I use a microfibre cloth on my LCD TV, which you simply wet with clean water and wring out - you can buy them in supermarkets

abrasive bleach and a steel brush

lol

just look for a screen cleaning kit online amazon or play will probably stock them and u should be able to pick one up for a couple of quid it will include a spray and a microfibre cloth to use. If u r not buying online, somewhere like maplin will have physical stock

dont use any kind of spray - water is the recommended approach and NEVER clean it when it is on!

They do laptop screen wipes in poundland

I use them and they are perfectly fine. Also use a microfibre cloth thing I got with the tv to brush of any dust before using the wipes.

About the microfibre cloth, I have from specsavers:

Hi-Tech Lens Cloth
''specially woven micron-thin fibres'

Would that be suitable?

KFC hand wipes FTW! They're amazing.
Beyond their cleaning properties i've fixed my subwoofer, DVD Player and removed thermal paste on a CPU all courtesy of Colonel Sanders.

so long as its big enough and not one of those tiny ones for glasses

Ebay item number 140359565639

Propyl alcohol

Works great dries instantly, removes any marks and last for and absolute age.

Use it with a micro fibre cloth for best results.

As long as you replace the lid correctly. Also do not try and drink it.
