    What would you recommend?

    Looking for a 42" from Argos, preferably under £500 but can do a bit more if the deal is tip top

    was just asking as you get HD & SD content also you might use it for gaming, also most can be used as a pc monitor.

    Just google LCD vs Plasma for plenty of info on the difference.

    Personally i would go plasma for a far more natural picture for TV viewing. Each has it's pros and cons, and everyone their own preference. Decide what you are going to use it for (TV only, PC, console etc) then read up on the differences.

    If still happy with plasma then this is a pretty good deal:
