led / smd bulbs

I'm looking to buy led bulbs for my home . one set is g9 . the set I have is 40w with lm 560 it says.... and I'm running 5 so that's a lot of watts, but I did think it is still rather dull in my room still.. Second set I have are gu5.3 running at 50watt again running 6 at a time so again expensive....

I have been looking around for brighter lumens but in led equivalent but can't see any . The g9 is for living room so from what I read them cluster led ones are a bit of an eyesore.

If anyone could help or advise me I would be greatful

Register yourself on ledhut. They will probably do a deal on Black Friday as they did last year, and should have suitable replacement lights.

I can't remember what the gu5.3 lights are, but if they are low voltage, I'd recommend removing the transformer and going for a mains voltage fitting instead if you can.

Remember to measure the clearance when buying led lights as they're normally a little bit wider. Also check that they don't have strobing issues. Normally the higher the wattage the brighter thr bulb

I used the g9 Philips from toolstation for a family member and they were brilliant, however. They only sell warm white so I got ours...Cool white.. from Amazon.

Just replaced my bathroom cabinet bulbs to LED and they are not over powering and look good.

Incredibly powerful, and capped so you don't see the individual elements
Honestly though, not sure if the can realistically dissipate that much power.

Amazon fulfilled, maybe inspires more confidence, looks like they are frosted, but design looks like it's flat double sided

The choice on Amazon seems to be the clear, these, or the occasional U-filament style, nothing similar to those round-tops
