Lego Indiana Jones - Best on PS2 or the Wii?

My 6 and 9 yr old boys want Lego Indiana Jones for Christmas

We have the Starwars trilogy on PS2 which they have loved playing and now I'm uncertain which console to get this game for

The PS2 gamepad lends itself nicely to steering the characrters around and getting the tasks done

So, with the Wii version, do u end up using the remote essentialy like a PS2 gamepad - ie holding it between 2 hands and resting ur elbows on ur knees?

Or, do u use the remote in 1 hand and a nunchuck in the other, and still rest ur hand on ur knees?

Seems to me it would be harder to steer the characters using the buttons on the Wii remote as against the joystick on the PS2 pad ...or maybe u have to wave the whole of the Wii remote around in the air to steer the characters - which would surely lead to arm ache?!

Can anyone please provide some first hand experience and suggest which would be the better option to buy?
Any benefits to one console against the other?

    many thanks

PS2 definitely, it's really hard to control (like most real games) on the wii, and the graphics are no better on the wii....

What? Its easier to control on the wii, it's instinctive to hack and slash with the remote, plus more fun. I sold my PS3 version because I had it on the wii.

How the control works on the Wii?

    Thank you

im not entirely sure but most games on the wii have the nunchuck as the movement (analogue stick) and the hit buttons be the movement of the arms or the buttons on the wiimote

Check this deal out I just posted for cheaper prices on the new version with the new film included.
