    LG 43" 4KTV Opinion

    Hi All

Just wanted thoughts on the below 2, LG 4KTV Sets - or if anyone had any opinions if they have either?

    richersounds.com/pro…03v

    richersounds.com/pro…61v

Looking at a max 43" - only difference I can see is that the slightly cheaper model has 1 less usb socket, no freesat HD but is Edge LED whereas the more expensive model is Direct LED

The TV is to be used for a XBOX One S and probably a Apple TV Box

Just wondered if anyone knew any further difference with the below sets as the cheaper option just seems to make more sense

I believe the 630 and above in that range have LG wireless sound sync, magic remote support (only the 668v/750v incude it), louder speakers at 43" (20W instead of 10W), newer wi-fi (ac instead of n) and some bluetooth functionality.

Everything from UH60 to UH75 is very similar in the main though, with the exception of the 630v/635v which use a different type of panel.

The 668v with LG's gyroscopic magic remote is probably the pick of the range at the moment for £400 but I believe it's a Currys PC World exclusive.

thanks for that bud - i'll take a look at the currys one now - might be one to go for now

I know you've probably heard this a million times if you've been asking, but the LG's sometimes use the RGBW panels. Explained here hdtvtest.co.uk/new…htm .

Basically they're closer to 2800 pixels across than 3840. I was nearly going to pull the trigger on one till I found that out. Now I've got a Samsung 43" KU6400, using it as a PC monitor

Yeah and just a heads up on that, the top story on Reddit right now is that Samsung are injecting ads into the middle of stuff. theverge.com/201…s=1

When you go to setup the smart TV portion it implies that you need to accept their privacy and advertising TOS to use them, however when the screen pops up you just don't tick them and click next.

    Pretty scummy all round though.

If you are looking for a Samsung more in the price point of the LG, I think the KU6020 is also quite close.
