LG OLED55C6V VS OLED55B6V ? Which to buy?

    Considering taking the OLED plunge.

    I have shortlisted the OLED55C6V and OLED55B6V

After careful comparison from what I gather these are the differences:

    OLED55C6V is Curved, OLED55B6V isn't

    OLED55C6V is 3D enabled, OLED55B6V isn't

Ok so this far I would usually choose the OLED55C6V over the OLED55B6V

But the final spec difference I noticed:

OLED55C6V Brightness 600 cd/m2 , OLED55B6V brightness 750 cd/m2 . Does this mean peak brightness, also does this mean the OLED55B6V has better picture quality?

These are the only difference I can see comparing using displayspecifications.com/en/…8c6

Apart from these , does anyone know of any other spec differentials apart from the obvious dimension and

    Slight cost differences?

I would really appreciate some advice from people who know their stuff, I'm not too tech savvy in terms of TV's and want to make sure I am buying the best LG OLED 55inch between 1500-1700.

Thank you, do you know if the 145 cd/m2 peak brightness improvement on the B version will make much of a difference?

The c model has a better chipset apparently. Prefer the b myself and the flat look and that's I bought one.
Regarding brightness I doubt you would notice

C Model definitely, has much better chipset, which means much lower input lag as well as probably other things, but if you game then definitely c model. Also 3d included as an added bonus.

Basically the C model has everything the B model has and more. Its just slightly curved, but even if you don't like curved and wanted flat I'd pick it over the B model. The curve you hardly notice anyway.

Hmmm actually looking at the latest results here: http://uk.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b6
looks like the input lag is a lot a lot better with the fw update. Even better than the c model

Thanks for the advice, so actually the C has a better chipset and has all that B has to offer, but since the update b is proving better in terms of input lag? Would you suggest I then go for the B

Do you think I will notice the fact the C has 145 CD/m2 brighter peak brightness?

Cheers, yes I'm reading about the chipset now

I think the b6 is cheaper and available more places. The c6 you seem to have to get from currys and costs more.

I do think the c6 is better. Even though you have better input lag on b6 its only like 7ms better, you won't notice that. Plus the b6 has some glitches with the fw update that gives lower input lag, screen tearing etc

I'm sorry but that is nonsense I have the oled curved and you can watch his the TV from greater angles than a normal TV

I would go with the curved, I have had mine for over a year and I just received a new hdr motherboard upgrade free of charge from LG, there is nothing that comes close to the picture and with it being curved it gives more depth and feel to the picture from all angles and with the ability to turn any channel or picture into 3d the picture depth and colours are amazing, playing xbox one S, 4k hdr movies then it really comes alive, the audio is average, the TV defo benefits from a good sound bar, I hope this helps

Thanks Gordon, I went for the curved version in the end as I was reading through two very elaborative reviews on both uk.rtings.com/tv/…/c6 (c6 curved) and non curved b6 uk.rtings.com/tv/…/b6 and you are totally right, the viewing angle is better rated on the curved version, plus it's 3D enabled and generally rated better. The only thing I'm concerned about is that the b6 has 145 c/d m2 peak brightness higher, hoping this is not too much of a difference. I'm not a gamer so 7ms latency difference is not really an issue. I'm pretty sure an update with improve this
