LG Washing machines

Anybody on here have any opinions good or bad on LG machines. Our old machine gave up the ghost this morning and one has caught our eye the LG F1222TD5 which is on offer at currys for £350.
Many thanks

I cannot honestly comment as we have always bought BOSCH for the last 15 years and never had any problems, we have just upgraded every 4 years or so.

Just checked on Which online for you and this is what they say.

You can be sure of getting a quick and energy efficient wash from the LG F1222TD whatever program you choose, and it's one of the quietest machines around even when spinning. But the cotton rinse is very poor.

Cleaning isn't too bad although the results are unlikely to blow you away. However, the programs are impressively quick and large drum means you can wash plenty of laundry in one go; an 8kg cotton wash takes 127 minutes and 4kg of delicates a mere 71 minutes.

The large drum also helps the F1222TD achieve excellent water and energy efficiency - but you'll only reap the full benefit if you generate enough dirty laundry to fill it to capacity.

Rinsing varies dramatically depending on which program you use; it's good when using the easy-care program, but is among the worst we've seen for cottons, so you may want to use the extra rinse setting if you have sensitive skin.

The 1200rpm spin speed can be reduced for delicate items, and you can select different temperatures for each wash.

You can plan ahead with this one as there's a 19-hour delayed-start option, and the LCD display panel shows how long is left until your washing is ready. It's available in silver or white.

Pros: Excellent water and energy efficiency, very quick, time remaining display, quiet

Cons: Very poor cotton rinse
