Lhasa Apso Owners and Breeders. Help Needed

16
Found 9th Feb 2011
Bought a little Lhasa apso puppy, 8 weeks old .
Has an Hernia on her belly, only small. Think it could be an umbilical hernia but not sure.

Hopefully it should heal, if it doesnt then i could get it removed.

I just need your thoughts on breeding her , before or after her hernia has been removed. Is it safe to breed her etc?

any help would be appreciated thanks

does it push in?

She's a bit young to be thinking of that yet, isn't she? There's plenty of time to sort or not sort the potential hernia. I advise you seek professional advice when you take her in for her checks.

To be fair this comes across as being more interested in breeding her than if she will live a happy, healthy life. If you post on a public forum expect to get answers you don't like.

Please take the advice of a qualified Vetinary practitioner, not from some random people on the Internet.

Most vets offer a monthly plan to cover the cost of microchip ping, vaccinations, flea and worming treatment, nail clipping and a discounted spaying offer. Approx £10 a month but phone around.

Whilst visiting the vet they will then check your puppy over and advise.

If you can't afford vet fees then you shouldn't get a dog.

Petplan offer insurance as do many other companies, but we find petplan the best.

I would also point out that owning a dog is akin to having a new family member and should be given the same love and county of care. If you had a child with a suspected hernia you would seek a doctors advice, the same goes for your dog- seek a vet.

There was a small petting zoo opened in Glasgow last year, but it closed down after a month because it only had one animal; a dog.
It was a shih tzu.
