AIG come with Best Doctors free as standard - a feature that allows you to get your medical notes sent to the individual who is most renowned for treating that condition in the world. One of my work colleagues used this to great benefit when diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He had his treatment plan suited around what the specialist suggested which was different to what the NHS consultant suggested. The best doctors database is regularly pier reviewed to keep it up to date with new knowledge.

LV - comes with doctors services app meaning you can get an appointment with a GP on skype within an hour. This gp can prescribe medicines to your nearest pharmacy. Whilst this used to be an awesome benefit it seems all doctors are doing this anyway now and waiting times are down. Therefore this might not be as important to you.

AIG would be my suggestion.

I have both these with my Aviva policy plus a lot extra. Aviva therefore gets my vote.

The gp bit has an extra cost though with aviva and their claim stats aren’t quite as good as others.
insurers are heavily regulated in the uk so any big insurer will do. you can get quotes from comparison websites.
Go for a 'Mutual' as they don't have shareholders to pay dividends too, Royal London , NFU,etc.
