Light-bulb too big for socket?

Found 14th Apr 2014
Just a quick question - I bought a nice, fairly expensive energy saving light-bulb for my bedside table lamp, but, foolishly, just realised it doesn't fit.

I swear I've seen a few deals on the site advertising adaptors for too small>big or too big>small, usually on eBay and 99p. Does anyone have a link, or any helpful ideas to help me figure it out. I've tried Googling all sorts, but to no avail.

Have you looked on eBay? There are thousands.
Yeah sorry for being stupid, guys. After I figured out the shapes and sizes of the socket and the bulb, it wasn't that hard to find a UK seller selling an E14 to E27 adaptor (should've put that in the info) for 99p. Will hopefully be here before the week's out. Thanks again!
