Lightbulbs galore...

    Hi all

Im on a energy/money saving kick and really want to replace the bulbs I have with the CF type bulbs (not LED due to the pants light they give out). Anyone know the cheapest place to get:

    GU10 energy saving bulbs and

    G9 energy saving bulbs

    what does cf mean?

Gu10 are they the spot light ones?

Compact Fluorescent. The GU10 ones look like this...

The specs do not say they are CF but the number codes are the same:…nts

tesco instore had some gu10 low energy bogof 5.00 eah (works out 2.50 each) and they are good quality i bought 10 last week

It says 50w on the side of that bulb.
Doesn''t sound very energy saving to me since the one in the bathroom would be using 200 wattts with 4 of them in.

The average energy efficient bulb would be 10-20w and they are bright enough to light a rooom by themselves.
I think the LED ones are in that range.
You reckon that 4 of them couldn't provide sufficient light to light a room?
