Lily Drone pre-order

Hey guys i dont know if anyones seen the New Lily Drone all over social media and the net, looks really cool, it's available to pre-order for $499 but after pre-order they will sell for $999 will be available Feb 2016

Was wondering if it would be worth an investment to buy at low price and then sell later for more,
What you guys think?

I saw the promotional video and thought it looked really cool - but remember, that's what it is: a promotional video. If you google for previews and reviews, you'll see that the tech is nowhere near ready - I'm not sure if it can be done to the standard of the shown video by 2016.

The question you need to ask yourself is: if you pay the $499 and aren't able to sell later for more, would you miss the money?

its a gamble you may end up down

I saw the reporter in the park for the guardian and they spent a good portion of the day getting the thing to work.

I like the concept. But think it won't be as good as the promotional videos. Plus I don't do anything to exciting to need a drone angle. ><

Yes , I'm into drones and saw the Lily model video . They were just throwing in the air and it took off following the fob .Not really for me , I like to control the drone with a remote , but it's a nice concept .
Just seen another new idea yesterday , it's a drone on tracks . A bit like a tank , goes up steps , over drains ,along footpaths then takes off into the sky . Whatever next !

For resale, I don't see a large turn around from it. After shipping it to the UK you'd be in more than $500, so you would have to clear shipping and physical costs before profit.

At best I'd say you'd get 1-200£ at best for profit, and that's if someone bites at it. That's also if it's not a faulty machine when you sell it on.

It's a complicated piece of kit sold dedicated to the USA, so customer service would be slim for international repairs imo.

By the time you get one there will be legislation banning you from using it almost everywhere so you can forget spying on that hot blonde at number 42

You weirdo. The women at 42 on my street is in her 70s

Looks good, but a lot of people don't think they can deliver on their claims, also it's so far away till it ships it'll likely not be that great by then, also includes nothing to stop collisions at all.
