limit bandwidth on access point only.

Basically I've set up a spare tp link router as an access point which I want to use as a guest network for customers at my restaurant. I've set the ingress and egress to the desired speed however when I connect to the access point and do a speed test it hasn't limited the speed. Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible to do when set as an access point?? Thanks

Maybe read the instruction manual for whichever model you are using?

I have but it obviously doesn't tell you how to change every setting for each different mode I.e router, bridge, access point. I've followed the instructions for how to do it set up as a router and was wondering if it should still work when being used as an access point also

Which model of TP Link is it?

Set the router to wifi b only to limit it to super slow speeds.
