Just need the lead that connects your desktop to the monitor and a line out jack (3.5mm, I think).

I got a LG 50" but warn you against screen burn caused by static images.

Should be easy, either pc to DVI, or HDMI, or PC to VGA

Your TV should have at least a couple of these inputs on the back (if not all 3)

I use VGA personally, along with a 3.5mm audio cable

If you have a DVI output on your computer woolworths are doing 1m DVI to HDMI cables for £1.
Somebody posted a deal of it and other cables but I can't find it.

Something like this should do it....make sure your PC has a DVI output on the graphics card.
    ]DVI to HDMI

PS. If your using a long cable then HDMI is better quality than VGA.

Follow the cable that connects your monitor to your PC.
Have a look where it plugs into the back of your PC, if it looks like this then thats
    a VGA connection

to the side of it on the back of your PC, do you have a socket that looks anything like this?

If you do, then thats a DVI socket, and you can connect your PC to your tv using a
DVI-D to HDMI cable like this

If you DON'T have a DVI Socket, then does your telly have a VGA socket?(ie like the one on the back of your monitor).
If it does, then you you can connect your telly to you PC using the same cable that connects your PC to your monitor.
ie a VGA cable that looks somthing like this

Hope this helps, i'll check back later incase you have any questions

Hi bigflump, I forgot to mention I've got a laptop
It does have one of the VGA sockets though....the second picture on your reply.

My TV has got the same socket and a DVI-D one,so I should be able to do this hopefully....

I'll let you know how I get on !

    Thanks,M.B.C

No problem M.B.C, thanks for the rep.
If your laptop & tv both have a VGA socket, then i think the best cable for you is something like this.

PS its nice and long(5m),. so you wont have to sit right infront of the TV...unless your eyesights really bad :-D

    Sweet !
Thanks very much for your help :-D
